Brick House Farm Water Company
PRODUCT EDUCATION Distilled Water: Water that is devoid of all dissolved minerals, additives or chemicals. Water is not naturally occurring is this state. The distillation process requires heating water to the boiling point and collecting the steam, which is then returned to a liquid state, but contains more hydrogen rendering it acidic. Consuming distilled water would only be recommended for a short period of time during an intense detoxification of the body. Algae thrives in stagnant water, especially in warm and sunny conditions. Although we filter and ozonate our water, algae is naturally occurring in water and all of it cannot be removed. Such small quantities are not in the least bit harmful, but allowing algae to grow and thrive may cause a problem, if with nothing else, foul taste. Step 1. Unplug unit. Mix 1/2 tsp bleach to 1-gallon cold tap water. Step 2. Remove 5-gallon bottle from cooler. Open all water taps and drain existing water Step 3. Pour bleach solution into reservoir. Open all water taps and allow 1/2 of solution Step 4. Again, open all water taps and allow balance of solution to run thru. Step 5. Run 3 gallons cold tap water thru cooler reservoir and all water taps to rinse out Step 6. Return 5-gallon bottle to cooler. Plug in Unit.
Consider that our bodies are made up of approximately 70% water, water must then be the most important nutritional substance that we need on a daily basis!
So will any water do?

Choosing water for health and well being.

Natural Spring Water: Water that is derived from a moving underground source and contains traces of dissolved minerals, including calcium, magnesium and potassium among others. It can be categorized as soft (less minerals) or hard (more minerals). Also of importance is the pH factor. An alkaline pH is greater than 7.0 and is considered beneficial. An acidic pH is less than 7.0 and can cause the body to pull from minerals, such as calcium and magnesium, in order to neutralize the acid and bring the body back to a neutral state.
Brick House Spring Water has an average natural pH of 7.5 ,
is high in natural calcium and other minerals and is sodium free!
Natural spring water that is bottled for the public, once taken from the ground, must be filtered and sanitized for things such as bacteria, algae, protozoa and particulate matter. Sanitation is either done with ozonation or ultaviolet light, as required by the FDA. Strict testing guidelines and plant cleanliness are also monitored by local health departments.

Drinking Water: Water that is usually taken from a municipal source and is filtered and purified. Minerals are then added back after processing. These waters may also contain added flavorings, vitamins, and sometimes preservatives.
Municipal Water: Local tap water may be derived from many different types of sources. You will have to check with your local water department to see what the source in your area may be. Most tap water contains added chlorine, chloramines, and fluoride. There is much controversy over the safety of consuming chlorine and fluoride.
Well Water: If the well is not fed by a spring, it is usually a pocket of underground water that is being fed by surface water in the form of rain and snow. Well water for drinking should be tested on a regular basis. It may contain such things as chemicals, toxins, pesticides, bacteria, algae, and protozoa.
Always store your water bottles in a cool, dark area. Also keep your cooler and the bottle on your cooler out of any direct sunlight and excess heat. Be sure to sanitize your cooler or water crock at least every 8 weeks.
